职位职责
We are seeking highly motivated Co-Principal Investigators/Research Professors to join i-BRAIN and contribute to cutting-edge neuroscience research. This position offers the opportunity to conduct independent research under the mentorship of the Principal Investigator while co-leading innovative nonhuman primate (NHP) electrophysiology programs and next-generation brain computer interface development.
Core Responsibilities
1. Co-Lead Nonhuman Primate (NHP) Research Programs: Lead and execute chronic electrophysiology studies in nonhuman primates (NHPs), requiring surgical experience and hands-on skills in electrophysiological recordings, as part of the lab s large-scale NHP research efforts.
2. Implement Advanced Next-Gen Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs): Work with other i-BRAIN researchers involved in the development and optimization of next-generation BCIs for NHP studies, emphasizing their potential for clinical translation as disruptive neurotechnologies for treatment of human brain diseases broadly defined.
3. Conduct Independent Research: Establish and pursue an independent, complementary research program that aligns with and enhances the i-BRAIN s overall scientific mission.
4. Mentor and Train Junior Researchers: Provide mentorship and hands-on training to postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and technical staff, fostering high standards in experimental design and data analysis.
5. Support Laboratory Operations and Management: Oversee key aspects of NHP facility operations, including strategic resource planning, major equipment procurement, and safety/compliance oversight.
6. Contribute to Scientific Publications: Lead or assist in the preparation of academic manuscripts and technical reports for high-impact journals.
7. Collaborate on Grant Development: Independently or collaboratively assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in preparing and submitting competitive research grant proposals.
任职要求
1. A Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Neurology, or a closely related field.
2. Postdoctoral research experience from a leading domestic or international institution.
3. Extensive hands-on laboratory experience with NHP chronic electrophysiology studies.
4. Proven track record of high-quality scientific publications as the first or corresponding author in peer-reviewed journals.
5. Demonstrated capability for independent research, from experimental design to execution and analysis.
6. Proficiency in English for effective scientific communication.
